The shortest distance between two points is an erratic line. Under this hypothesis nothing in the Universe in motion moves in a straight line or at a fixed speed within the confines of a galaxy other than a force field and that too may be spinning. What appears to be straight in trajectory (or fixed in velocity) is a total and complete illusion caused by the force field bending matter and energy to conform to its prime directive. Going from point A to point B when both are in complicated motion can only be done efficiently by a curved trajectory which appears straight to us because we are curving as we are observing it.
