The natural behavior of an unconfined explosion, if the matter exploding is not completely turned into energy, is that the remaining particles of matter move away from the event at a unified velocity. Under this hypothesis, all galaxies, though varying in size, have a unified velocity moving away from a 15 billion year old unconfined explosion. Red shift analysis of receding galaxies confirms this if you view the distance from Peking, New York or Paris to the center of the Earth would be the same even though the distance between the cities is not.
Since we have yet to red-shift every galaxy we cannot know how fast we and the other galaxies are moving or know the true size of the Universe sphere. All we know now, under this hypothesis, is that we are moving at least 20,000 kilometers per second away from the Bang and likely moving far faster. Mapping the Universe under this scenario will be far more difficult than mapping the human genome. Web Site Maintained & Hosted by Globalsites.net, Inc. |
